Wintering birds are now a prominent feature in the Zwin. In the watery areas, you can now observe large numbers of geese, ducks and waders.

Typical songbird species, such as the Eurasian rock pipit, have arrived in the salt marsh to winter here.

The plant world is increasingly losing its colour but some species, such as narrow-leaved ragwort, are still flowering.
