After almost ten years, the previous managers of Zwinbistro The Shelter closed this chapter on January 4, 2026.

The new concession was assigned to Tero Group, with Nicolas Lhoist as the new concessionaire. The Tero team will give the Zwinbistro a new look.

What does this mean for your visit? 

From January 17 to February 27, 2026, a limited basic selection of hot and cold meals and drinks will be available during the opening days of the Zwin Nature Park. 

The new manager will normally start offering a basic selection in the bistro at the end of February. The official opening of the renovated Zwinbistro is planned for late March/early April 2026. 
 

Want to bring your own picnic? You can tuck into your picnic on our picnic terrace!

• Please note that picnicking is not allowed in the bistro and on the terraces of our bistro.
• We also have two outdoor classes for schools - no bookings accepted

Due to the transition period for the managers of the Zwinbistro, it is currently not possible to accept group reservations for meals.
