Waterfowl
At this time of the year, large numbers of waterfowl can be found in the Zwin’s wetlands. They include various species of geese, ducks and waders, such as greater white-fronted geese, Eurasian wigeons and Eurasian curlews. The numbers vary significantly depending on how harsh the winter weather has been.

White storks
The white storks of the Zwin Nature Park that winter nearby can gradually be spotted more regularly as they start to visit their nests.
