Are you looking for something fun to do for all the family?
During the entire Easter vacations there is plenty to do in the Zwin Nature Park.
Come and experience an adventure in the wild, during which the Zwin guides will introduce you to its magnificent flora and fauna. Learn to recognise the birds on the breeding island, explore the fascinating world of salt- and freshwater creatures, and find out all about bird migration at the ringing hut.
And for children? They can take part in an egg hunt and enjoy exciting stories and games. Don't miss our family tours on the theme of “From A to Zwin”. Come and experience nature with us!

Fresh water lab
At the freshwater lab, you can take a very close look at tiny creatures.
You’ll be amazed at what these organisms look like under a microscope!
From 10:30 to 16:00
Birds on the breeding islands
Is that a Mediterranean gull, a black-headed gull, or a little tern? The Zwin guide will help you identify the birds you see with a telescope!
From 11:00 to 16:30
A walk on the Zwin Plain
Follow the blue or green itineraries on the Zwin Plain. A Zwin guide will be there at the beginning of your walk and tell you more about this unique tidal area.
From 11:30 to 17:00
A unique saltwater lab
Do you know why the birds love the tidal area so much? For its extensive menu, of course!
Shrimps, crabs, worms, mussels... all kinds of goodies birds simply can't get enough of and that you can see up close at the saltwater lab.
The saltwater lab is open from 12:30 to 17:00
Bird ringing
Bird ringing will resume during the Easter holidays. You can watch the ringer at the ringing hut from Saturday 30 March up to and including Sunday 14 April.
An important scientific task which you can see close up!

Egg exhibition
So you want to know all about eggs? The Zwin guide will show you all kinds of eggs you’ve never seen before!
From 14:15 to 17:00 at the ringing hut
Children’s activities
Come and learn all about eggs in the wild during the egg hunt! This time, the focus isn't on birds’ eggs, but on those of other egg-laying species.
Then, you can play at “Whose baby is this?” and listen to the story of “The hedgehog’s egg”.
Visit the storks
Ever seen a stork close up on its nest? No? In that case, don't forget to visit the stork tower to watch these wonderful birds!
Exhibition: A top-class nature experience at the Zwin!
The exhibition gives you a bird’s-eye view of this magnificent European reserve: begin over the sea and fly over mudflats, tidal marshes, and dunes until you reach the polders. Explore the beauties of nature and find out why large-scale projects and day-to-day maintenance are so important.
The exhibition is included in a standard ticket.
